What kind of shrink film is generally used for packaging boxes? Nowadays, many boxes need to be packaged to protect products, dustproof, moisture-proof, waterproof and scratch-proof. So what kind of material is generally used for packaging boxes? One-stop packaging will share with you. POF is environmentally friendly, hygienic and non-toxic. It does not produce toxic odors during processing. It meets the standards of the US FDA and USDA. It has high surface gloss, good toughness, high tear strength, uniform heat shrinkage and is suitable for fully automatic high-speed packaging. It is a replacement product for traditional PVC heat shrink film. PVC is not environmentally friendly but the price is cheaper than POF. PVC film has the characteristics of high transparency, good gloss, and high shrinkage rate. It can be used as a double-pass and label film. Generally, if the box does not need to be double-pass and needs environmentally friendly materials, POF material can be selected.

POF means heat shrink film. The full name of POF is multi-layer co-extruded polyolefin heat shrink film. It uses linear low-density polyethylene as the middle layer and co-polypropylene as the inner and outer layers. It is plasticized and extruded by three extruders, and then processed by die head molding, film bubble blowing and other special processes. It is a new type of environmentally friendly shrink film that is currently the most widely used and rapidly developing in the world. POF shrink film is widely used in the outer packaging and collective packaging of products in various industries such as food, cosmetics, gifts, medicines, stationery, toys, audio-visual products, electronics, wood products, plastic hardware, and daily necessities. POF shrink film can be used in semi-automatic or fully automatic shrink packaging machines, and can also be made into various bag types. Square bags, special-shaped bags, corner bags, etc.

Generally, the best shrinking temperature of POF shrink film with a thickness of 0.015mm (1.5 filaments) is around 150℃. The thicker the film, the higher the shrinking temperature required. The shrinking temperature required for 0.02mm (2 filaments) shrink film is higher, about 170℃. To achieve the best shrinking effect, it is necessary to conduct experiments little by little in actual operation and gradually adjust the temperature to the best.
